hi!

I just got back and stayed at the Tingco Beach. I stayed at a cottage owned by the Antig family, who owned most of the beachfront in the area. It was really clean and peaceful throughout my stay. As if I was in paradise. I did not want to wake up. I got home and still want to come back more often.

i love this place, me and my friends were just joyriding one fine day last april....and whoa!! we got stucked at tingko for a whole day! we even made friends with a filipino-american who offered us his snorkels and boy we really had fun! just then a shark came so near that we raced out of the water...we were so thrilled!!! and the excitement has never left me...there was this trench that is so deep, we swam over it for a good 20 minutes...

@Juliesa Mendoza

Yes, Tingko is such a nice place to hang out especially with friends. A shark in Tingko? I never knew.
You should go back and visit Tingko again. Me and my friends are going there this coming weekend.

@HOPE

There were occasional sightings of sharks...you can ask the store attendant (the store by the beach). she was the one who told us when we asked her about shark sightings after we saw one.

Wanna visit the place again this summer....im excited....

hope to see you there..

Merry Xmas!

Hi Irene, you can stay at Sola Homes. This is the nearest resort I know aside from the Antig beach houses. A minute or two walk by the beach from the resort is Tingko beach. At Sola Homes you can rent out rooms and even houses with complete amenities and can cook. You can contact them at this number - 0324839069.

Tingko beach is located in Alcoy, a town 92 kms from Cebu City. You can go there by bus that are bound to Bato Oslob/Liloan Port/Samboan at the South Bus Terminal or you can rent a car.

You guys can stay at Sola Homes. You can rent rooms and even houses with complete amenities and can cook. You can contact them at this number - 0324839069.

Or you can also rent cottages owned by the barangay. These cottages are fairly good and cheaper. No number available atm, just ask around at the area.

Or you can stay at a resort at the town proper, Triple BBB (www.bbb-alcoy.com). And you can just ask resort people to bring you to Tingko beach.

Got a reservation at sola homes for the 4 bedroom house in the cliffside.The owners of sola homes said amenities include swimming pool and the big house with kitchen. is this a nice house? is it worth paying 5t a night? thanks. james

Hope said...

@James - I'm not familiar with the houses on the cliffside of Sola Homes. I believe we have not stayed on any of the cliffside rooms/houses. Yes, they have a new swimming pool.

James,

There is a new development in the works that will have a soft opening in August, two casitas will be available overlooking the boulders at tingko with a private staircase to the water. Now that is worth 5000 plus!
